How we work

Case Assessment

We carry out an assessment of your case and review the individual conditions to obtain citizenship in Denmark. The assessment can be done in person, by email, by telephone or through an online meeting. The assessment is usually free, but in certain complicated cases, we will charge a fixed consultation fee of 2.500,- DKK (app. 365 USD) for the assessment.

Sending an offer - Fixed Price

If both parties decide to proceed mutually with the application process, we will send you a quotation for our consultancy, including the onuses of the consultancy. Our fee is fixed, which means that you know your cost in advance.

Starting the case - With you all the way

We will assist you in completing the application correctly, as well as assisting you in providing the necessary documentation. We will handle all communication with the relevant authorities, and continuously follow up on your case. We will also advise you until the citizenship it is obtained.

Key requirements

The primary requirements to become a Danish citizen

Based on information from the Danish Immigration Service. Each application is assessed individually - the list below is a summary, not a substitute for legal advice.

  • 1. Continuous Residence:

    • Standard requirement: Typically, you must have lived continuously in Denmark for nine years.
    • Exceptions: Refugees: Eight years of continuous residence.
    • Nordic citizens: Two years of continuous residence.
    • Spouses of Danish citizens: Six to eight years, depending on the duration of the marriage.
    • Minors: Those who arrived in Denmark before age 15 might qualify after 18 years if they've pursued Danish education.
    • Graduates from Danish institutions: Five years if they've completed a significant portion of their studies in Denmark.
  • 2. Self-sufficiency:

    You must be able to support yourself financially without relying on public assistance.

  • 3. Employment:

    You should have a stable employment or be enrolled in education.

  • 4. Danish language proficiency:

    Demonstrated proficiency in Danish, typically through a recognized test.

  • 5. Knowledge of Denmark:

    Understanding of Danish society, culture, and history. This is often assessed through the Indfødsretsprøven (Citizenship Test).

  • 6. Clean criminal record:

    A history of law-abiding behavior is essential.

  • 7. Loyalty to Denmark:

    You must swear allegiance to Denmark and its laws.

  • 8. Financial stability:

    You must be able to support yourself and any dependents.

  • 9. No outstanding debts to the public.

  • 10. Participation in a municipal constitution ceremony.
